Who is Little Puck? Well, ‘Little Puck’ is just one of many names she’s used over the years, but the fact that ‘puck’ rhymes with ‘suck’ and ‘fuck’ was what sold her! She also feels a deeper kinship with the name given that it’s typically associated with mischievous, androgynous, and queer beings, and those were the LAST kinds of beings she was encouraged to be growing up.Raised in a very conservative home and community, Little Puck was divorced from her sexuality. She lived a sheltered life until she eventually fell in with the theater crowd in public school. They didn’t make her feel embarrassed about her sheltered life but instead took her in and helped her find a more accepting community. Even then, it took Little Puck a long time to unlearn everything and discover her true self, and it’s still an ongoing process. But it’s because of her courage and willingness to move forward that we’re able to have her here today to chat with us.
